HSMAI Appoints Insight Out to Manage HSMAI Middle East

The Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International (HSMAI) is pleased to announce the appointment of Insight Out Consultancy DMCC and its founder and managing director, Mona Faraj, as the HSMAI Middle East Managing Director. Mona and her UAE-based team will be responsible for growing organizational and individual membership in addition to putting the association’s valuable educational resources at the fingertips of hotel sales and marketing professionals in the region.

With over 25 years of hospitality expertise, Mona is the founder and managing director of Insight Out, formally known as Insights Middle East, a hospitality and service industry-focused practice founded in 2008 with a specialty in hospitality and tourism research, sales, marketing, distribution, and revenue management. Insights very quickly established itself as the go-to company, and Faraj and her team’s in-depth knowledge of every market across the GCC, Middle East, and Africa made them the obvious choice for the development of the HSMAI in the region. Insight Out will develop membership and HSMAI signature programs in the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, Oman, Egypt, Jordan, Syria, and Lebanon.

“Mona’s extensive knowledge of the Middle East region and connections within the industry, paired with her energy and drive, make her a perfect fit for this role.” said Robert A. Gilbert, CHME, CHA, president and CEO of HSMAI. “The Middle East is a rapidly expanding market for hospitality, and we’re confident that with Mona and her team leading the way, HSMAI Middle East will lead the way with strategy and innovation to help members and others in the industry grow business and optimize revenue.”

“HSMAI is of course known internationally for its high caliber training and educational programs for hotel marketing, sales, and revenue management professionals. I am eager to implement many of these components of the HSMAI brand in this region,” said Mona Faraj. “Notably, we are excited to be co-locating the first HSMAI Middle East Revenue Optimization Conference (ROC) with the 2018 HITEC Dubai event.”

The HSMAI Revenue Optimization Conference (ROC) UAE will be held Tuesday, December 4 at the Madinat Jumeriah. This will be the fifth HSMAI ROC event held globally. The other ROC events are in the United States, The Netherlands, Singapore, and Brazil, and are the premier educational events for revenue management executives in the hotel industry.
