The HSMAI Americas Award for Career Achievement in Sales honors sales professionals who have left an indelible mark on the sales discipline in the hospitality industry. Honorees are recognized annually at HSMAI’s Sales Leader Forum.
Nominations can be made at any time.
The award recognizes individuals who have spent a major portion of their careers in the sales profession and have contributed to the betterment of the industry in a significant and lasting way, over an extended period of time.
“The recipients of HSMAI’s Career Achievement Award in Sales have a demonstrated record of outstanding sales leadership and strategic vision,” said Bob Gilbert, CHME, CHBA, president and CEO of HSMAI. “Their contributions to the field may have been through new innovations or through ways to improve sales practices within their organization, or for being an outstanding advocate for the sales discipline.”
To be considered for the award, nominees should have:
- Noteworthy and outstanding contributions to the hospitality industry, and the sales discipline, during a career spanning at least 20 years;
- Accomplishments that are truly extraordinary, widely recognized as such, and of positive and lasting quality;
- Exhibited leadership and provided inspiration to others in the sector; and,
- The highest regard and respect of their peers.
From nominations received, the honoree will be determined by HSMAI’s Americas Sales Advisory Board and Americas Board Executive Committee.
