Organized by the Events Industry Council (EIC), Global Meetings Industry Day (GMID), honours the meetings and events industry’s enduring business value and $2.53 trillion in global economic impact. Advocating for the value of meetings and events has taken greater importance in 2020 as we see our industry significantly affected by COVID-19. While usually a global celebration with live events happening around the world, this year, we need a continued focus on sharing the message of the value of coming together, within the reality that we temporarily need to stay apart.

GMID will be held from 10:00 UTC to 23:59 UTC on 14 April, 2020. It will be held using using EIC’s Zoom Webinar Platform with a capacity of up to 3,000 concurrent live attendees as well as through twitter chats using the hashtag #GMID20. All webinar sessions will be available as recordings after the event.
